So I gather, but what context? What silly ass thing prompted it? This is where we've arrived.

Maybe they got tired of the previous head of the RNC not listening to the state organizations and spending money on private jets and hotel suites, instead of trying to elect Republicans.

Tickets are unavailable... BTW: The Civic Orchestra's performances are free. You need a ticket, but it's free.

She also did a video reacting to Purple’s vocalist, Ian Gillan on Child in Time. https://m. Link to video There is another opera singer critiquing Gillan doing the same. https://m. Link to video Worth watching just to compare and contrast. Gillan and the band blow them away with their musicianship and technique. Here’s another with Maggie Renee reacting to the late Ronnie James Dio: Link to video

@Renauda said in Town with highest rate of deaths linked to alcohol, drug abuse and suicide in England: Anyhow, Grandfather’s cousin, uncle Frank, used to recite by heart the story of Albert and the Lion in full West York’s dialect right up to a year before he passed at 96 years. Funnily enough, my dad knew it by heart too, although he, like Stanley Holloway, was from London. We had a record of it when I was a kid - that, and A Child's Christmas in Wales, got a lot of playtime on the old record player.

@Axtremus said in Fleeing....: More space for the immigrants bussed from the South, right? Absolutely! Abbott needs to hire some freight trains. Put a Portapotty, a few cases of water and some MRE's in the freight cars and send them straight to the Left Coast.

Yeah. I lost interest about halfway through the first season. Yellowstone meets La Brea. Unsuccessfully.

It’s the mileage. Karla drove 24,380 for her business last year. She has a larger vehicle, So that was basically 1000 gallons of gas. Or $3200. We also spend roughy $2200 fluid and filter changes and such and average $1200 or so for new tires/brakes per year. Actual vehicle expenses are around $6600. The federal mileage standard allowance is 67 cents, or $16,750. Guess which we take? Uber drivers typically drive 60K miles or more. Their standard deduction is ~ $40K. The number one car choice? Fusion Hybrid. Actual fuel costs on 60K miles ~ $4500. As for maintenance? Probably about what we spend (less expensive tires, and there are specially negotiated rates at different businesses and such). So these guys make $60K per year, but after you take out the standard deduction, it looks like they only made $30K, less than minimum wage.

@89th said in Hey George: I told my daughter that this morning, she loved it. Half the time she pretends to be a leopard. She's 5. Our daughter, also 5, is into foxes at the moment but she refuses to believe the "strangling woman" cries from the forest that wake her up at 1am are indeed foxes.

@89th said in Shave and a Haircut...How Much?: @Aqua-Letifer said in Shave and a Haircut...How Much?: I cut my own hair. Yeah but what do you pay? I usually tip about 10% Sometimes as much as 25% in more hard-to-reach places.
